The homeowners of this Mt Baker Craftsman really wanted to retain the character of the original wood floors. They were told by several contractors that the floors couldn’t be refinished, and only recommended replacing with new floors.  We took on this project because at Healthy Painting we value refinishing surfaces that would otherwise be replaced with new materials unnecessarily. It’s better for the planet and has character and memories engrained in the wood. That’s special to us and worth preserving.  This entire project was done by hand, from hand-sanding to the application of the finish. Here is what the owners had to say:
